Yes, business liability insurance is a must for any photographer. First It is rarety that the policy is ever needed, but it is in your best interest to know that you're covered, there is a good deal of complexity involved in such a policy, and its coverage, but yes, every photographer needs to have it in place. and it will be sent to each hotel or venue via email (and I'll cc you on the email).

As with any business, a photographer must be registered with the State of South Carolina (Retail License) and the federal government (a federal ID #). This ensures that you, as a client, are working with a legitimate business. If you need proof of registration, I'm happy to provide you with the Retail License and federal ID# upon request. It's also important to note that there are four jurisdictions in the Charleston, SC area (City of Isle of Palms, City of Charleston, Town of Mount Pleasant, and North Charleston), and a valid business license is required for each. Be sure to ask your photographer for a copy of their license, as many hotels and venues require it before your event. It's better to be safe than sorry, as you never know who might enforce the ordinance that day.

As the team behind your photography and videography, we retain content ownership. However, you can use and share the photos and videos as you wish. This includes using them on your website or for marketing purposes. Please keep in mind that with ownership comes responsibility. As our client, you are prohibited from selling the photos or claiming them as your work. If you need to use the content for a third party, don't hesitate to contact us for permission. We typically complete the editing process within a few weeks, although it could be quicker. Please ask if you have a specific deadline, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
