Albert Einstein once said, "The only source of knowledge is experience." This resonates with me as a passionate artist.

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Today, I run three businesses: King Street Photo Weddings, Charleston Corporate Photographers, and Branding Photographers Charleston. I feel fortunate to be an image maker, and my talented team and I capture joyful, meaningful moments at weddings and corporate events.

My photography journey began at the age of 16 when I worked at Kihei Camera, a photography retail shop in Hawaii. For nearly three years, I learned the true technical aspects of photography, equipment, film and print development, customer service, and sales. I loved helping clients and discovering the craft, and my boss recognized the passion, vision, and dedication I brought to my work.

After high school, I moved to Beverly Hills, California, where my uncle introduced me to a glamorous lifestyle filled with stars and studios. Here, I learned from talented creatives and captured the best of photography in a demanding industry. I developed my skills in cinematic and film photography, studio and ambient lighting, and location lighting with strobes. I also continued my education by assisting fashion and celebrity photographers and attending workshops and trade shows.

In 1985, I brought my skills to South Carolina, first settling in Myrtle Beach and later making Charleston my home. I opened King Street Photo, a small retail photography shop on King Street, and soon launched King Street Photo Weddings. Over the years, I've photographed more than 500 weddings and over 125 corporate events for Fortune 500 companies. This experience led me to expand into corporate photography and videography through Charleston Corporate Photographers, catering to clients across the private sector. I am also excited about my third niche, Branding Photographers Charleston.

At the heart of it all, I’m grateful for the privilege of being a photographer—connecting with people, telling meaningful stories, being creative, and capturing images that reveal something real and lasting. If those images can bring even a little beauty and joy into the world, then the work feels deeply worthwhile.
